Part 3 of this horror story continues with Hardcastle trapped in the dark in an underground cave. In this lesson, the students will: complete a brief comprehension task on the previous chapter; read contrasting summaries of the chapter and determine which one is the most likely outcome; listen in detail to a short extract and mark the correct punctuation marks into an unmarked transcript; discuss Hardcastle’s options and write short letters explaining and responding to what happened in the cave.
