In this experiment, students construct a track for marbles to collide on in order to compare the energy stored in a stationary object to the energy of one that is in motion. Matching and gap-fill activities help students revise vocabulary related to movement. Students then complete a table and read a summary, into which they insert their results. Key vocabulary and practical teacher's notes are included.
