  • Hi Mr Mario,

Apologies if this lesson promoted either envy or sadness amongst your students. That is in no way the intention. Could you not tell your kids that many teens in Europe would love to visit Vietnam on holiday and that perhaps they could design a holiday itinerary for some teens visiting their country for a week?

    Best wishes,

  • teaching teens in Vietnam, and looking for a lesson... i'm not too crazy about the idea of everyone's holiday being so far-flung, not to mention expensive-looking, giving kids the idea that this is what 'normal' teens do, have their mum pay for a trip to England for horse-riding lessons, for example... most Vietnamese kids, especially in rural areas can't even dream of such holidays or trips - this might promote envy or sadness as much as anything

  • Hi gbclarke,

Thanks for your comment. We do publish new material which might be useful for your teen classes. We publish Guardian news lesson every Thursday. Not all of these are suitable for teenagers but I'm certain you'll find a good number that teenagers would be interested in.

What kind of content are you looking for specifically?

  • I agree with the above comments, although the content is great and really useful some occasional new material would be most helpful.

  • Dear Marilena,
We don't delete older resources because they are of great use to new teachers and those who have not taught the lessons before. This lesson is currently featured on the homepage because of popular demand.
