  • Hi bartonim,

Thanks for the feedback. Good to hear that you are enjoying using this resource. In terms of materials with questions that are ready to be used, there are a number of different worksheets available for speaking activities. You could try this one:

    http://www.onestopenglish.com/business/business-skills-bank/basics/elementary/questions/148898.article

It can be used for an interview practice activity. Alternatively you could adapt the questions for your class level or why not do the activity then get your class to write their own follow-up questions?

    Hope that helps.

    Best wishes,

    The onestopenglish team

  • I like this activity in some ways because it forces the students to fit the verbs into the question; however, sometimes I like readymade question material, which would save time, so it would be nice to just have the questions as they are meant to n\be used. In short lessons, it would be helpful. Other than that, it's a good activity and the colour adds a bit of attractiveness to it.

  • Dear Laura,

    Many thanks for your comment.

I'd suggest taking a look at our Absolute Beginners series. The first few lessons are split into two versions - one for students with knowledge of the roman script, and one for those without. The series can be found here: http://www.onestopenglish.com/esol/absolute-beginners/

You may find other resources that would be suitable for your classes in our ESOL section, which can be found here: http://www.onestopenglish.com/esol/

I have also made a note of your feedback and added this to our feedback database.

I hope this is helpful. If you have any further questions or comments, please don't hesitate to get in touch again.

    Best wishes,
    The onestopenglish team

  • I am teaching a Pre-Beginner class in Melbourne for adult students who have very low spoken and written English skills. I have used your elementary materials, but the students I teach require a lower level of material. For example most of the students are from countries and cannot write the English alphabet letters. Would onestopenglish be able to develop some materials to suit this level of student? It would be greatly appreciated.

  • I like the fact that the activity doesn't stop on the usage of the language but also gives practice on the use. By the way, all of Jill Hadfield materials have the same quality as shown here. I highly recommend her resource books for teachers such as Beginners Communication Games, Intermediate Communication Games and Advanced Communication Games. I have all three and they are worth their weight in gold.

  • This is exactly what I needed to get my students using the correct form of BE and I can expand it easily for different levels. Simple, elegant and easy to engage students with.
