What should I do if I have forgotten my password?

To find out your password, click the 'Sign in' button at the top of the homepage, and then follow the 'Forgotten password' link to request a reminder to be sent to your email address. If you do not receive the email, please check your spam folder. If you are still having problems, please contact us.

I am unable to sign into my account despite having the correct login details. Why?

This occurs when two or more computers have signed in with your account or when you have not logged out of a previous session. Please contact us and we will clear the login data and reset your password.

My email address has changed. How can I update my details?

To update your email address, please sign in and click on ‘My Account’ at the top of the site where you will be able to edit your account details.

Where do I opt out of receiving emails from onestopenglish?

If you wish to unsubscribe from our newsletter, please sign in and click on ‘My Account' and untick the relevant box. Should you wish to be removed from our database entirely, please send an email and write ‘Unsubscribe’ in the subject line.

How can I search for resources?

Use the 'Search' box on the top right-hand side of the screen to look for resources at particular levels or particular language points. Once you've entered search terms, you can use the options on the right-hand side of the search results page to further refine your search.

Why is a resource that I was previously able to use now only available for subscribers?

In order to sustain and develop the site as a whole, some content has been added to the Staff Room that was previously freely available.

Why am I not able to find old Guardian news lessons on the site?

As the news articles we use are copyright property of the Guardian, we are only licensed to publish news lessons for no longer than a year from the original date of publication on the site. While this allows us to keep the content fresh, and update it on a weekly basis, it does mean that we are unable to access and provide news lessons older than a year.

Where are the audio files for the lesson plans?

The audio files for the lesson plans are under the ‘Related Files’ on the relevant lesson plan page of the website.

What is the Learning Calendar and how do I use it?

When you log in to the onestopenglish Staff Room, you will see a Learning Calendar button in the gold bar at the top of the screen. The Learning Calendar is a tool that enables you to organize resources, plan lessons and share links with colleagues and friends. Resources can be arranged into folders and scheduled into the calendar. You can easily see which resources you have selected for your day’s teaching.

How do I play audio files?

You can listen to the audio files in your browser by clicking on the links. The audio should then play automatically in whichever media player you use, e.g. Windows Media Player, iTunes etc.

If you are still having problems playing audio files, please try downloading them to your computer.

How do I download the audio files to my computer?

Instructions to download an MP3 file vary depending on the browser you are using:

When I play an audio file online it cuts off before the end. Why?
