Describing story characters is an important stage in the development of creative writing. In this worksheet, pupils match pictures and text descriptions to fairytale creature before writing their own description of a fantasy character.

    I'd suggest downloading the pdf to your computer, rather than just viewing it in your browser, by opening it up then clicking the 'Download' button at the top right of the screen (this looks like a bit of paper with a downwards arrow on it). Trouble viewing images can often be a browser issue, so this may fix the problem.

  • I'm not getting any pictures on the first page, either (and am finding this is the case with a number of your worksheets). I have the most up to date version of Adobe Reader and can open the actual file without a problem. Can you help, please? Jackie P

    The pictures are on the first page of the pdf, which can be found by clicking on the link about under 'Related resources'.
