Nominations for our 2014 writing award have now been announced!
For the sixth year running, Macmillan Education and the British Council have joined forces to uncover new emerging talent in the world of ELT writing.
With the Macmillan Education Award for New Talent in Writing, Macmillan has chosen to recognise the rich variety of teaching resources available to teachers by opening up the submission criteria for the award. This year welcomed submissions from aspiring ELT authors who may have chosen to self-publish or make their voices heard through media such as blogs, eBooks or within their own institutions.
Nominations for the 2014 award are:
Compass (Upper intermediate) – Elizabeth (Lizzie) Pinard
Flip, follow and feedback – Laura Nanna
Magic Book 2 – Thomaï Alexiou & Marina Mattheoudaki
PLAYDATES Let’s play English – Maria Teresa Marino
Rock and Learn – Taera Shaikh
The LexicalPortfolio Course – G.H.Heiman
Chris Willis, Teacher Resources Publisher at Macmillan Education and judge on this year’s award panel commented that “it has been a real privilege to be a part of the New Talent in Writing Award as it has produced such a wide range of quality ideas and pedagogical content”.
Congratulations to all the nominees! The winner of the award will be announced at the award ceremony in London this May.
