A short mingle activity.

Time: 5-10 minutes

Materials: Cards with names of famous duos and couples / audio of lively tunes.

Preparation: Choose duos / couples and write their names on the cards - one name per card. 

Procedure

  • Give out the cards and tell students that they are these people. Then tell them they have to find their partners.
  • Students stand up and walk around the room asking questions to find their partners.
  • Tell students that they will work with their partners in that class.

Variations

Depending on your students’ level, they can ask further questions to expand the conversation. 

Remarks

Elicit some preliminary questions according to your students’ level. Examples of possible couples:

Tom/Jerry

Romeo/Juliet

Frodo Baggins/Samwise Gamgee
