At Metro Cafe, customers have been known to pay more than $100 for coffee while others pay the $1 they can afford: ‘it’s about community’.

    Thank you for your comment, we are pleased that you like this resource. Had Teacher's notes been a part of this resource, this is undoubtedly something that would have been included. However, as they are not this is left to teachers to point out or students to notice. More fuel for discussion!

  • A great topic to promote discussion in my conversation classes but I would have expected you to draw attention to the expression "levelling the paying field" which has been coined from "levelling the playing field". Especially for advanced students, an interesting point.
