  • Hello Dorota,

We believe that both are correct. Your version may be the more grammatically correct, but the version in the article is more often used these days. It's definitely a point for grammatical discussion though!

  • Nope, what I meant is that 'ocasionally going' sounds weird to me, taking into account that it relates to the modal 'could' used first followed by a verb in infinitive ('incorporate), i.e I'd say '(...) we could all incorporate more activity into our lives rather than occasionally GO to the gym or swimming pool.' - ? Would that be incorrect?

  • Hello Dorota,

We are pleased you like this article. What the article meant is that we could all add more activity into our lives by regularly doing things such as taking the stairs rather than a lift, or walking rather than driving short distances. Is this what you were referring to?

    Best wishes and happy teaching,

  • Great job! One thing though, either I do need to work on my English or there's a mistake in the following part of the text: '(...) we could all incorporate more activity into our lives rather than occasionally going to the gym or swimming pool.' - ???
