  • Hi everybody! I really love these news lessons. I.ve used them a lot for the last 2 years and I find them useful, informative and entertaining. Besides, the topics covered are so varied that there's something to suit all my students (adults withe very different professions, and even homemakers). Thanks a lot! This site is fantastic!

Many thanks for the lovely feedback. It's great to hear that these will be so useful for your lower level students. We've passed on your feedback to the author and there will be another new elementary news lesson published next month.

  • Hi - I've just come across this learning resource too. It's brilliant and I've printed them all off ready to use with my elementary students. As Sue had already commented - it's often difficult to find suitable topical material for lower level students. Can't wait to see more. Thanks! Angela

  • I've really appreciated these instant news lessons for the past 6 or 7 years. They've helped when I'm pushed for time. I love that the Elementary lessons have been added. Thank you! I would, however, like to say that for the groups which have been with me for years, the structure of the higher level lessons are a bit "old". I use a weekly lesson once every 2 or 3 months for some groups so as to keep the lessons "fresh". It may be that it's time to drop my subscription and use only the monthly lessons. Seems that in that case, I still have 2 or 3 to choose from. Keep up the good work! Corinne

  • Hi Liliane,

Thanks for your suggestion, always happy to hear what teachers would find useful. We will do our best to publish a news lesson in November on the US elections.

    Any other suggestions?

  • Hi misslind,

Thanks for your feedback. The elementary news lessons are indeed a new category of resource. There will be one published each month and you will be able to find them on the normal news lesson page.

They are not in the same location as the Guardian news lessons as they are not based on Guardian news lessons. The Guardian news lessons are based on articles from the newspaper and range from pre-intermediate to advanced level whereas the elementary news lessons are for lower-lever learners.

    Hope that helps.

    Best wishes,

  • Is this a new category? I do not see this lesson under the familiar locations of weekly and monthly news lessons.
