  • Hi Christine,

Sorry to hear you're having trouble accessing the materials. Could you give us a bit more detail? Are you trying to access the videos?

If so you'll need to click on one of the topics on this page and the video should appear at the top. If you can't see it, it might be a Flash issue and we would recommend you check your browser settings to make sure onestopenglish is enabled for Flash.

Or you could download the video at the bottom of the page (the page you clicked on from here).

If it's an issue with your account (i.e it's saying you're not subscribed), perhaps try clearing your browsing history and then logging in again. That might help.

If any of this doesn't help you then please contact help@macmillan.com

  • Hi Cinzia,

Thanks for your feedback. Your comments have been passed on to our commissioning team. The videos are indeed a popular series as they provide authentic answers from members of the public. Would you be interested in videos if the content was scripted rather than authentic? With authentic answers, it's hard to guarantee lower level answers. Do let us know your thoughts.

    Best wishes,
    The onestopenglish team

  • I teach 11-13 children and I would really like a lower language level ...I like the videos because they are not cartoons -as most of the lower language ones are. Thanks anyway!!

  • Hi Alison,

Thanks for the feedback. The videos in this series are all authentic and unscripted so we don't ask participants to grade their language at all. It's just how they answer the questions naturally. Some of the answers are more simplistic and suitable for lower levels than advanced students but that is purely coincidental. However, your feedback has been logged and passed to our commissioning team and if we do make more videos in this series, we will endeavor to include topics and questions that could challenge higher-level students more.

    Best wishes,
    The onestopenglish team

  • The videos are great but it would be nice to have something of a slightly higher level in terms of speaking speed and length and vocabulary. Some of my students are C1 and the videos are not challenging enough for me to use. In fact, this can be said for a great deal of material on the 'net.
    Thanks,
    Alison

  • I love these lessons, but I would like to see more older people interviewed. My students range in age from 16 to 78, and the older ones (some of them retired English teachers or retired international businesspeople) are are some of the most enthusiastic students. I would like to have more material directed at this older age group.

But, as I said, these are marvelous, and fantastic quality. So thanks again.

    Jean
