Jim Scrivener's TKT tips

In this series Jim Scrivener offers help for teachers who are preparing for the TKT, or Teaching Knowledge Test. Each month Jim will focus on one question from the exam and provide all the information you need to answer it.

The Teaching Knowledge Test is a new test set by University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations which aims to give teachers a strong foundation in the core areas of teaching knowledge needed in the English language teaching classroom.
