Channel Crossings is currently looking for a suitable candidate for the position of a SENIOR TEACHER. Senior teachers at Channel Crossings are role models for other teachers whom they motivate by their positive attitude and excellent professional as well as personal qualities. Their task is to pro-actively approach other teachers to offer advice, assistance and guidance and create opportunities for further development of our teachers.

We are looking for a highly motivated, creative, self-reliant and experienced language teaching professional matching the following formal criteria:
• at least 3 years of experience in teaching English to adult students in a language school environment
• superb language knowledge (native speakers of English or Czech teachers who can prove their language knowledge and skills on min. C1 level of the CEF)
• university degree in linguistics, pedagogy or TEFL/CELTA certificate
• excellent knowledge of EFL methodology and classroom management practices
• experience in observations, feedback and workshops is an advantage
• ability to prove their active professional development
The responsibilities of a senior teacher include:
• teaching individual and group courses mainly in corporate environment
• carrying out regular observations and delivering feedback to teachers
• carrying out mentoring and delivering consultations to inexperienced teachers
• orientation and training of teachers new to Channel Crossings • delivering workshops
• active development and realization of teacher development projects
• active participation in conferences and workshops
