EFL Teacher

2. Job Purpose
To plan, prepare and deliver English lessons in accordance with the syllabus and methodological aims of the school, at a level appropriate and useful for students whilst taking into account individual learning styles and striving to provide an atmosphere conducive to learning.

3. Main Responsibilities
• Planning and preparing material for lessons

• Assisting with first-day tests and placement

• Monitoring performance, and giving constructive feedback in the form of written reports for the students and their parents/ guardians

• Encouraging student autonomy by informally monitoring student performance and making suggestions for student action

• To contribute informally as well as formally through feedback, to the evaluation, development and improvement of the course materials and outcomes.

• To complete all teaching related administrative tasks to a sufficient standard i.e the complete class registers and ‘record of work’ sheets.

• To participate in and or contribute to activities and workshops related to teacher development

4. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Needed for the Job
• Native English speaker
• Experience teaching young learners
• A TEFL qualification : CELTA or equivalent
• Level 6 Education or requisite teaching experience
• Excellent organizational skills
• Dedication and enthusiasm
