Commissioning Editor (Young Adult) - Red Nova Learning

The role of the Commissioning Editor is to commission and develop ELT materials (print and digital) as required in the publishing program. This involves researching and commissioning material for American English Young Adult markets, mainly in Latin America and East Asia, and conveying the course vision to team members and key stakeholders. They will work closely with authors and overseas offices to ensure that material meets market requirements, and with editorial, design and digital colleagues to ensure that titles are delivered on time and to budget.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent team-working and organizational skills, and be able to demonstrate:

• At least 3 years EFL teaching experience including at Young Adult, ideally in Latin America or East Asia, and a recognized TEFL qualification
• Demonstrable ELT publishing experience and a proven track record of successful product development
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent written English
• An ability to work to tight deadlines
• A positive attitude and commitment to the aims of the company
• A knowledge of and an interest in Latin American or East Asian culture and education
• Knowledge of a second language
